Biblical Foundation for Serving
At Sunshine Rescue Mission, we believe serving others is an opportunity to reflect the love of Jesus through humility, compassion, and excellence. Volunteers are not simply completing tasks; they are partnering in the work God is doing in the lives of those we serve.
We are called to serve with a willing heart, treating every person with dignity and recognizing the value and worth God has placed on each individual.
"Serve one another humbly in love."
Galatians 5:13
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
Colossians 3:23
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves."
Philippians 2:3

As volunteers, we strive to serve with the same heart Jesus demonstrated—leading with love, humility, kindness, and a servant’s heart.

Mission & Faith-Based Expectations
